From Biscuit Day and peanut butter drives to National Bicycle Day and hot air balloons floating across the summer sky, Erie has always been a town that knows how to celebrate the moments that bring people together.
Sure, Erie has grown over the years. New neighborhoods have emerged, and more families have settled in, helping the town nurture and grow. However, it still maintains the charm of a place where neighbors know each other’s names, a friendly wave across the street is always returned, and the sense of community remains strong.
That’s one of the reasons we feel so at home here.
At ALLO, we’re proud to serve Erie, but it’s about more than providing internet service. It’s about being part of the community’s fabric, showing up, supporting local events, and investing in the people who make this town what it is. That’s why being named one of the Town of Erie’s five Community Partners this year means so much to us. It’s an honor, and one we don’t take lightly.
Throughout the year, you’ll find us at many events Erie residents know and love. We’ll be part of Biscuit Day, the Erie Town Fair, the Balloon Festival, Touch-A-Truck, and Tales & Ales. These gatherings create opportunities for neighbors to connect, families to make memories, and local traditions to continue growing.
We’re also proud to sponsor the public Wi-Fi at the Farmers Market on Briggs Street. Whether you’re checking a recipe, sharing a photo of your latest produce find, or streaming a favorite playlist while you shop, we’ve got you covered.
ALLO’s community involvement in Erie extends beyond balloon festivals and events. This fall, we’re the presenting sponsor for Shop Small Saturday with the We Love Erie Business Collective, encouraging residents to support the local businesses that give Erie its unique character.
When the holidays arrive, we’ll be adding a little extra cheer to the season by hosting four community carriage rides and offering free ice skating for 100 participants. It’s just one more way we can help families create special memories together. Just don’t forget your gloves.
One of the efforts we’re especially proud of this year was our peanut butter and jelly drive benefiting Erie UpLink. Thanks to the generosity of community members, more than 150 jars of peanut butter were donated. We matched those donations with jelly, helping create a simple but meaningful meal that has been a lunchbox favorite for generations.
Moments like these remind us that community isn’t built through grand gestures alone. It’s built through neighbors helping neighbors, small acts of kindness, and people coming together when it matters.
And if you ever need us, we’re right here downtown located at 700 S Briggs Street.
Our local store is open to anyone who wants face-to-face support. Whether you’re starting service, have questions about your bill, or need help troubleshooting your Wi-Fi, you’ll be greeted by a real person who lives and works in the community, just like you.
Just friendly, local help when you need it.
At the end of the day, ALLO’s community involvement in Erie means more than providing a service. It means showing up to local events, giving back, and celebrating the people who make this town such a special place to call home.
