Nebraska Cornhuskers Men's Basketball Head Coach
Fred Hoiberg's career has revolved around the sport of basketball. The Lincoln native was named head coach of the Nebraska basketball program in 2019, bringing his career full circle at a program his grandfather Jerry Bush coached for nine seasons.
Under his guidance, the Huskers have made three consecutive postseason appearances, including the school's first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. A three-time conference coach of the year, Hoiberg was the AP National Coach of the Year in 2026 after guiding the Huskers to a school-record 28 wins and a runner-up finish in the Big Ten Conference.
Hoiberg starred at Iowa State, earning All-America honors as a senior in 1995. He then spent 10 seasons playing in the NBA, playing for the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves. In his final season, Hoiberg led the league in 3-point shooting before a heart condition prematurely ended his playing career in 2005.
After four years as an NBA executive, Hoiberg returned to his alma mater and guided Iowa State to four NCAA Tournament appearances and a pair of Big 12 postseason titles in his five seasons. Hoiberg then took over the Chicago Bulls, guiding the franchise to a winning record in his first season and an NBA playoff appearance the following year.
In 2019, he returned to the college ranks, taking over the Nebraska program. Hoiberg was named the Jim Phalen National Coach of the Year in 2024 after guiding the Huskers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade. Over the last three seasons, the Huskers have won 72 games, the highest three-year total in program history. In all, 12 of his former players have played in the NBA, including Dalano Banton and Bryce McGowens during his tenure at Nebraska.
Hoiberg and his wife, Carol, have four children, Paige, Jack, Sam and Charlie. Both Jack and Sam continued the family's legacy by playing Division I basketball, while Charlie followed the coaching path, serving as a graduate manager for the Huskers in 2025-26.
Chief Construction Officer, ALLO Fiber
Todd Heyne, Chief Construction Officer at ALLO Communications, has spent eight years building the operational systems that allowed the company to scale from a regional Nebraska provider into a multi-state fiber infrastructure company. Since joining ALLO in 2017, he has led the design, engineering, and construction teams that have built more than 725,000 fiber passings across Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, and Missouri.
His teams consistently deliver 50,000+ premise passings per quarter, managing a workforce of 600+ and multiple contract partners across 50+ communities.
As CCO, Todd aligns fiber design, engineering, and construction with ALLO's broader business strategy, ensuring every build decision connects to organizational goals and market opportunity. He leads evaluation of new community entries and M&A initiatives, translating growth targets into executable construction plans that balance capital efficiency, production capacity, and competitive positioning.
He owns end-to-end delivery across markets of varying complexity and scale, managing resource allocation, contractor partnerships, and budget discipline in an environment where infrastructure timelines drive revenue recognition. His work centers on building repeatable operational models that allow the organization to grow without breaking, creating the systems and leadership bench required to sustain performance as the company expands into new geographies and regulatory environments.
Before ALLO, Todd spent 24 years as a Naval officer and aviator. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he flew the E-2C Hawkeye in carrier-based and special mission squadrons, serving in operational, training, and staff roles across the Pacific, Atlantic, and Pentagon.
He commanded VAW-77, leading 100 Sailors and 50 contract personnel while managing $480 million in aircraft assets. Under his command, the squadron earned the Battle Efficiency Award, Safety "S" Award, Personnel Retention Award, Medical Blue "M" Award, and the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation.
His final military assignment was as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he had executive oversight of seven major program portfolios and a $1.1 billion annual budget.
He approaches leadership as a vocation, building systems and people capable of delivering when the mission matters.
