A successful technology transition always starts with strong collaboration, and the team at United Way of Greater Kansas City was incredible to work with throughout the process. Their leadership stayed engaged, organized, and proactive during implementation, helping ensure a smooth rollout across the organization.

Today, their team is equipped with a more modern communication solution that supports collaboration, flexibility, and connectivity across their organization.

We’ve worked with United Way since 2018, originally supporting their PRI circuit and phone number management. As their organization evolved, so did their communication needs. Together, we identified an opportunity to modernize their system and create a more flexible, collaborative experience for their team.

Instead of following the traditional upgrade path from an on-premise phone system to hosted VoIP, United Way took a forward-thinking approach by moving directly into Microsoft Teams voice integration with support from the ALLO Business team.

A Smoother Transition to Microsoft Teams

Our team worked closely with United Way to prepare their Microsoft Teams environment, configure their phone infrastructure, and ensure a seamless cutover experience. While migrations like these involve extensive backend coordination, our goal is always simple: make the transition feel effortless for the customer.

Once the system was live, we provided user training to help staff feel confident and comfortable using the new tools. Because Teams is intuitive and familiar for many users, training was efficient and easy to adopt across the organization.

As with many organizations, employees came into the transition with varying levels of experience using Teams. We tailored training accordingly, making sure everyone, from first-time users to experienced collaborators, could fully utilize the platform from day one.
