Jeff Kuenne is one of ALLO’s two managing partners and today we’re wishing him a happy 10 year ALLOversary! Jeff began working alongside Brad Moline at Birch Telecom in Kansas City. Birch started with 4 employees back in 1997. Jeff came on board when the FCC first allowed competition between phone companies which enabled them to grow their business and expand to over 1,400 employees.

Jeff manages our technology, network, and operations side of the business His background operating telecom services in a competitive environment played a major role in the decision to bring fiber optics to rural Nebraska. “We learned to fight for a business every single day,” he says of his time with Birch, “we saw how crucial it was to show our customers they didn’t have to rely on the incumbent for service.”

This is why we invest in fiber optics.  Jeff joined ALLO in 2005 when construction in Scottsbluff began and our goal of transitioning to a fiber based network became a reality. Outdated technology is not and should not be the only option for Nebraskans. There was an immediate need for better service in our communities, businesses were demanding more as their companies grew and the standard telecoms couldn’t keep up. The positive economic impact of bringing fiber to Nebraska was obvious, with better and more reliable service businesses could not only grow but could attract newcomers, expansion, and development that would not otherwise have been possible.

“There is no point in being just as good as the competition,” Jeff says of the ALLO philosophy, “we’re here to give you more, to move you forward.” Fiber optics give us the competitive edge on your service alternatives. The National Broadband Plan is only now coming into focus as the government strives to create more affordable broadband advancement for the entire country. Gigabit communities are beginning to pop up in major cities across the United States and residents are rallying for it everywhere. We’re bringing you the technology that people in Austin, TX and San Francisco, CA have been waiting on for years. ALLO has been 10 years ahead of the other guys since we got in the game, just imagine where we’ll be tomorrow.
